I've always loved art from as far back as memory recalls. My favourite materials are acrylic and watercolour. I find watercolour fascinating in that when a multi-colour wash is applied to paper you can watch it do its own thing - and some very interesting results and lovely colour hues come from chance!

I love acrylic because of the boldness of colours. My favourite subjects are the Mediterranean and Greece in particular. I love the vivid colours of houses, flowerpots, boats etc. and the Med of course. I also love the fantastic light. In my paintings I want to try to make this rich mix of colours and light leap out of the canvas at me and I find acrylic is, for me, the best way to try and achieve this.

I also love painting the English countryside and seascapes as well as animals in the wild such as deer and horses from the New Forest. I also support the Greek Cat Welfare Society through the sale of some Greek cat paintings and prints.

I have been extremely delighted to sell some of my work over the years along with awards from the Cookham Arts Festival and the SAA. Additionally, several paintings have been selected on the monthly Editor’s Picks from Artists & Illustrators.
